TALK ABOUT SLEEP WITH PATIENTS

Help patients connect sleep and overall health

Many people do not understand how much sleep factors into their overall health, making it all too easy to dismiss sleep issues. By sharing key information and asking the right questions, you can empower them and identify patients who may benefit from sleep testing.

TEST AT HOME OR IN LAB

Get the clinical data needed for accurate diagnosis

Of the over 1 billion adults estimated to have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), ~80% remain undiagnosed1-3, leaving them without the help they need. Testing via a home sleep apnea test (HSAT) or in-lab polysomnography (PSG) is an essential step in getting people with OSA the help they need. Qualified providers may order HSATs through an independent diagnostic testing facility (IDTF) that offers virtual care and testing services with board certified sleep specialists.

START PATIENTS ON THERAPY

The standard of OSA care: PAP therapy

Positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy is non-invasive and the standard of care for OSA. It has been shown to improve clinical outcomes and to reduce healthcare resource utilization, improve productivity and mitigate long-term risk in high-cost comorbid populations.4 Let our PAP therapy template streamline prescribing for you.

SET PATIENTS UP FOR SUCCESS

Give patients the tools they need for therapy success

While home medical equipment (HME) providers get patients set up with PAP products, primary care providers play a critical role in supporting patients on therapy and monitoring the impact on both their sleep apnea and overall health.
